Traditional nomad tent with double bed, electricity, attached bathroom, and WiFi internet access. (Price 55 Euro for 2 persons)
This "nomad tent" is a marvelous adaptation of simple materials to stringent requirements: they had to be easy and fast to erect, light, portable, wind and water resistant, airy, insulated against the sun's rays, easy to maintain and repair, and preferably handsome. The basic element of the "black" tent was a long, narrow strip of heavy cloth woven from black (or brown) goat's hair.
This tent was purchased from our helper Duran, who used to spend his youth around this "kil cadir" during the summer month. These tent types are the traditional habitat of the nomads, who used to follow their flock up and down the high "yayla" pastures of the nearby Taurus mountains in transhumance.
Perched high atop the flat roof of Fairy Chimney Inn and far away from any crawling animals, this tent has one of the best views around. It is outfitted with a comfortable double bed, chairs, "camel-bag" cushions and a traditional style sitting area .
The clean separate bathroom is situated two steps opposite the tent. From the rooftop you will have nice perspectives to the nature and unique rock formations and can enjoy a full-moon view and the starry skies of 2001 nights.
